Cthulhu's Light

Meet the largest cuttlefish species in the world, endemic to Australia these gentle giants are whimsical, curious and incredibly intelligent.

Studies show this species has the ability to count and has the IQ of a three-year-old child.

With incredibly short lifespans of 1-2 years these creatures aggregate to inshore locations during May-July for their annual mating season.

Did you know?

All cuttlefish are actually colour-blind which makes their use of chromatophores even more spectacular.

What makes our prints so special?

In this collection our prints are printed with Archival Inks from Epson.  You will also notice we give you the option to choose the paper you would like to have your piece of art printed on.  We have carefully selected high quality papers to ensure they last you a lifetime and to best showcase the underwater world.

So what are the options?

Metallic: It is a resin coated paper at 260gsm that will be sure to give you the ‘wow’ factor.  We have chosen this paper for its high pigment and its glossy finish. It naturally glistens in the light which really makes underwater photos come alive. To read more on this paper please click here.

Hemp:  At 290gsm, 60% Hemp and 40% cotton this paper is one for the archives. We have chosen this paper for its uniqueness and quality above anything else. A special feature we have added to this paper is a ‘Deckled Edge’ which resembles mold made papers. The edges are hand torn and may appear slightly larger in size than the option selected.
